Anyone read Romance?

Postby feisty_redhead » Mon Jan 22, 2001 4:26 pm

I read just about every genre if it's good. But I can read historical romances even if they're only so-so.

No, I do not read them for the explicit sex (although that's an added bonus ), I read erotica amd the boards for that!

So, are there any other romance fans out there?

Well, I tend to read sci-fi and horror stuff. I like freaking myself out in the early hour of the morning.

I don't mind taking a crap... it's the paperwork that annoys me

I LOVE historical romances. Do you like Johanna Lindsey? She would be my favorite. But I, too, like all different genres. I'll read anything that doesn't show up on Oprah's book club!

Oh goody! More Bibliophiles!

I also like the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre.

re: Johanna Lindsey, yes I have many of her books but she is not my favorite. I think my favorite has to be Julie Garwood, followed closely by all my other author friends.

If we could go in the Way Back Machine, I'd introduce you a a number of authors. We used to all be on the Prodigy.com BBS, but in Oct. of 99 they dismantled PC for good.

Anyhoo, read any good books lately?

It's a great trilogy, plus well, it's always a great way to get more than one thing from reading, lol

I read the Johanna Lindsey ones to Dan. Makes for the start of a wonderful evening.

I have actually started to go back to some of the stuff I used to read in high school. Ray Bradbury is an old stand-by. And anything having to do with mythology and also the whole King Arthur and Camelot and dragons and wizards... I'm happy anytime I can make time to read. With a husband and 4 children, it is not always easy to do.
