Nope, none and haven't an opinion as yet. How about you?

It's the thought that counts, he said.
Yes, and the diamonds, she replied.
Oh, I thought of diamonds, he said.
She smiled.

Hey there you are Lizzie, Hi, and hello Old gray beard, or may I call you Gandalf ?.
I loved the book , and I enjoyed the film enough to see it twice. Much of the film is straight quotes from the book. Technichally it was very clever, making hobbits smaller than humans without "disneyfying" them.
I know what you mean when you say you won't see the film because you love the book! I remember being so disapointed when I saw the cartoon version . I also remember being disapointed with Orson Wells as Mr Darcy in Jane Eyre, it completely spoilt it.

Finally went to see LOTR film and I have to say it's excellent, at first it's annoying when they change little things but if you sit back at ignore the fine details it is awesome.

The one niggle I have is, Sean Bean playing Boromir was a slight miscast, whilst he did a good job, for me Boromir is a huge hulk of a man and Sean Bean certainly isn't.
The highlight for me was the URUK HAI now that was an awesome piece of creativity the way they brought him to life on celluliod.

Strider was another piece of excellent casting.
