Hi Synne, Is Richard Bach a Pen name of Steven King ? The name rings bells but I can't come up with any book titles, only vague book covers in black and green .Throw some titles at me !

Nono, not Steven King...

Some of his books:

Jonathan Livington Seagull
The Bridge Across Forever
One
Illusions - The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah
Running from Safety

Here's a page of some of his very yummy quotes if anyone's interested http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Prai ... rbach.html

Richard Bachman was the pen name of Steven King - "Thinner", "The Bachman Books" (a volume of four) are a couple of those books he published. I have more, but they're packed away right now and my mind is a bit slowed...

I saw this thread and of course have read Bachman. I LOVE Stephen King! Unfortunately, he is going blind due to the almost fatal accident he had a few years ago. He was working on Rose Red when he was recuperating. Anyone see that, btw? Or read "The Diary"? I thought it was wonderfully done.

Really? How awful!

I just realized I've never read any of his books.

I heard the same thing about Stephen King Felidae. You and I seem to like the same authors. Would love to discuss them with you. :)

Stephen King has a retinal disorder. Macular degeneration;

though his accident was quite serious, the two are unrelated.

He's well known for the very thick glasses he wears, has been for ages, due to this condition.

I know he always wore those coke-bottle glasses, but I heard that the accident damaged his vision more. Hell, its the media..who knows when they tell the truth or not.
