Re: Beadwork Webpage!

Marie,

Shemah is very talented with her beadwork, she posted some pix a while back.

I'm pretty sure she's been selling them on eBay, so you can probably make
money with it too. I haven't seen EarthAngel here in a while, maybe someone
should email her and tell her she has a lot of messages waiting.

Re: Beadwork Webpage!

Here I am! I actually wound up making a whole webpage to put pics of my
beadwork on. As far as eBay, unfortunately have not done so well there trying
to sell it. People don't want to pay more than a few dollars for something that
took me hours to make. Of course, if they saw it at the gift store in a truck
stop, they'd pay three times what I am asking without blinking an eye. Go
figure. So now I just bead for the joy of beading, and have a basket stuffed
full of all kinds of projects. I am doing it because I like it anyway, not just to
sell it. Frankly, the best thing you can sell on ebay IMHO is plus-size women's
clothing! My beadwork page is www.farhorizons.net/Shemah/beadone.htm if
anybody's interested.

Re: Beadwork Webpage!

Wow, I had seen a couple of your projects before, but these are really great.
My 2 favorites are the camera strap the the dove. I'll bet those took you a
while to do!

Re: Beadwork Webpage!

Good lord, yes. The camera strap took *forever*!!! Especially as I got bored
two leaves into it, and by the fourth leaf decided I hated the whole thing <g>
I only persevered because my friends got married and I wanted to do the dove
for them for a wedding present, and the loom I was using for the camera strap
was the only one wide enough to do it on. Next time I make a camera strap it
is going to be some design a bit more interesting. At least, more interesting
from the perspective of the one who is doing the beading <grin> I'm currently
working on another hatband, like the dark green and dark blue wristband near
the top of the page. I've gotten a new scanner, and am hoping that I can get
a better pic of the color contrast on that one. I also made a floral headband
that I haven't scanned in yet, and I made my daughter some Egyptian style
stuff (headband, armband) to wear with her Cleopatra costume last Halloween.
I do have a lot of fun with it
