It appears that they are FINALLY going to make a movie out of the Dragonriders
of Pern series. 'Bout damn time. I don't know any details about when it will be
out or anything, but I am terribly excited about it. I have read the entire series
several times, and listend to the series on tape several times. I am a die hard
fan of this author anyway, but I am glad she finally gets the honor of screen
time.

Re: Dragonriders of Pern

Ah, you like the McCaffrey chickie, eh? I dunno. She's one of those writers who
leave the galactic battle for the last five pages of the book. I was reading The
Ronan series and got all the way up to Lion's Pride. I never finished that book, it
was too much of the same. I started reading another series by her about a
sentient planet. It was pretty cool, but that chick can make a sentence into
five paragraphs. Nuff said already.

Still, her books were pretty entertaining and I did feel involved with the
characters. I guess I wouldn't kick one of her books out of bed for eating chips.
Oh wait, that's Brad Pitt.

I want to see miracles. But I want you to see them too.

Re: Dragonriders of Pern

Well actually the Rowan is the only series of hers that I didn't like. The first
couple were ok, but they got pretty redundant. Do try the Dragon series, it's
the best.
