Get a professional wax job done. Yes, it is more painful than shaving, but it lasts longer and is really over quite quickly.

Damn Feisty, just thinking about that hurts. They have a lot of products out now that basically dissolve the hair away. They are mostly made for legs. They may be too harsh for such a sensitive area. Of course you can always try an epulator.

An epilator??? Damn, you want to torture us? At least with waxing the hairs all get pulled out at once. An epilator pulls them out one by one. OUCH!

Besides, depilitories, like nair, last about as long as shaving. Waxing pulls them out at the root, without razor burn, chemical burn, or ingrown hairs.

If ya shave, ya WILL have razor burn the first time and it won't last very long...(ouch)...and if ya yank 'em out by the roots (double ouch) the result will last longer and when it finally grows back, the hair will be a little less course.

I don't know about that, Ben. You get a tattoo once and it's over with. The hair keeps growing back!

I see I missed this one the first time around and folks have been kind enough to exhume it; this time I noticed it.

Well, shit. You want genital hair removal (don't we all) and you dont want to shave. Yet you ask if there are any ideas. I see that people have compared shaving or perhaps yanking the offending fibers out by the roots to getting tattooed. I cannot resist. I tattoo people for a living, and I would tattoo your pets too if you brought them and held them down; no matter: details details...

Want remove genital hairs so nasty to the tooth get in between and then later caught in throat hak kaff difficult to explain that need to cough at the dinner table yes? Razor bad, no shave. Pull them things out with a set of pliers not good either. Tattoo hurts worse than the Pliers Method <tm> according to one observer ( who ought to contact me for tattoos done without the use of salt or fish hooks ), I have the final solution: Get friendly with the local fishermen or similarly skilled artistes and have a homebrew skin graft done. There are probably places on any humans body that are covered with skin that bears less hairs than that persons soon-to-be-redesigned genital areas. If not, then just staple some commercial grade wax paper over the excised zone in place of suitable less fibrous donor epidermis.

Voila!

Yikes! Ouch! LOL! Shaving works for me... no bumps, no lumps, a daily thing that's habit now. Never nicked myself but it's always done in the tub. Hypo-allergenic baby wash makes a good lather to work with, and very gentle, and smells good. I think I'm lucky though because I never have bumps from shaving anywhere...

I shave my wife occasionally. Maybe you can get someone to do it for you. Make it a fun date thing. For the first time, or if you go a long time between shaving and the hair gets long, get one of those small electric clipper sets. The kind Wally~World sells for beard and mustache trimming to get it down to stubble first. That way it won't clog the razer.

For added fun maybe you could trim the hair into a shape. A heart or a butterfly. If you really want to make a guy feel special try trimming his initial.

I suggested to a woman at work trimming it into an arrow. She said if they can't find it without directions they probably won't know what to do when they get there anyway.

This thread seems to imply that only women would shave their pubes. Am I the only sicko male who does the same? I leave it about 1/4" long on my abdomen to prevent "wire brush syndrome" during sex, but I shave my scrotum and shaft about twice a month. Once you get used to it (which doesn't take long), it feels better than having a forest of hair down there. As an added benefit, your equipment tends to look more... impressive. :D
