Quorn (meat sub. stuff)

Post by Synne » Tue Dec 24, 2002 12:37 am

Anyone (ie. Hairball and my other fellow veggies) ever try any Quorn stuff? http://www.quorn.com/us/fiabout.htm

It's not soy, the base of all of their stuff is micoprotein - some kind of protein that's derived from mushrooms or something... I dunno about this... It makes me think of seitan which is just too nasty for words. A friend of mine had it recently and said it was good... but... (shrug) Just wanted to hear if anyone else has tried it.

dunno... friend who told me about it lives in Mass., guess you can get it there somewhere I've never seen it around though, but I guess I really haven't been looking for it either, might have just passed over it.
