My pets

Post by Requin » Thu Dec 05, 2002 9:35 pm

I have a dog and a cat who I love very much. The cat likes fish. So do I. We have that in common. My dogs likes Iams. I don't. But we still are able to get along. Go figure.

Yes, I also have bird feeders out on my fire escape. But I'm not on a first name basis with them, so I don't count them. However, they do depend on me and can be claimed on taxes. I tried to have them in for drinks once, get to know each other..etc but they basically wrecked the place. I was vacuuming birdseed out of my sofa for weeks. Never again. They look well behaved but get a few Daiquiris in them and it's a whole 'nother ball game.

You are right. It means shark in French. I like the French word better because it makes them sound like the beautiful animals they are. Swimming with speed and grace beneath the sea.

i love all animals. whatever they are. sharks are beautiful creatures. amazed by their sense of smell. whales are beautiful, too. when i lived in Brooklyn, i lived very close to the aquarium and sometimes i'd go and visit the Beluga Whales. i love how they communicate with clicks and squeaks!

i remember years ago my Dad and I had gone to the aquarium and we were both mesmerized with the Belugas! We were standing above them on a platform and they would look up at us and chat away!!! and the carekeepers there would feed them and rub their tongues (like petting them)! ahhhh, i'd love to hug one!

Orcas are absolutely beautiful, too! and the name "killer whale" is deceiving because they do not hunt humans.
